Qualifications

• High school graduate; hospital surgical services experience preferred.
• CST certification preferred; BLS required.
• Completion of a certified technician program or acceptable on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on surgical cases and set up assigned cases.
• Maintain sterile field and assist circulating nurse.
• Count items and handle instruments, supplies, sutures, and needles.
• Care for instruments and equipment; assist with stocking and cleaning.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety policies.
