Job summary

Baptist Health in Montgomery, AL, is seeking an OR Scrub Technician to join the Surgical team. You will scrub on procedures across specialties, set up cases, maintain a sterile field, and count instruments with the circulating nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified technician program or on-the-job training.
• Licenses/Certifications: CST preferred; BLS required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization, and anatomy is expected.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on surgical procedures in all specialties as a member of the Surgical team.
• Set up assigned cases, maintain a sterile field, and count items with the nurse.
• Care for instruments, supplies, sutures, needles and basic equipment.
• Stocking, cleaning and inventory duties as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines, safety and infection control policies.
• Fulfill verbal and written instructions and perform additional duties within scope.
