Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking an OR Scrub Technician MSC in Montgomery. You will scrub on surgical procedures across specialties, set up cases, maintain a sterile field, and assist the surgical team under nurse supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a certified technician program or acceptable on-the-job training; CST preferred, BLS required. Position is regular-full time with first shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Has completed a certified technician program or acceptable on the job training program.
• Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned cases, maintain a sterile field and count items used during surgical cases with the nurse.
• Care of instruments, supplies, sutures, needles and basic equipment, as well as stocking, cleaning and inventory.
• Adhere to aseptic technique, sterilization procedures and OSHA safety policies.
