Job summary

OSCI, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, seeks a certified Surgical Scrub Technician to support surgeons and nursing staff in our operating room. You will prepare the OR, maintain aseptic technique, hand sterile instruments, handle specimens, and restock supplies to ensure smooth patient care.

This role emphasizes safety, infection control, and teamwork, with a commitment to a consistent daytime schedule and comprehensive benefits. Prior OR experience and certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician training program and minimum of one year related work experience in operating room.
• Current Surgical Technology certification.
• Membership in surgical specialty society encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room, ensure equipment is disinfected and assembled.
• Assist surgeon and staff during procedures by passing sterile instruments and supplies.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Isolate contaminated instruments and supplies to minimize infection spread.
• Receive specimens and prepare for laboratory.
• Clean and restock operating room after procedures.
• Maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and physicians.
