Job summary

Cullman Regional in Cullman, AL is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team on days. You will assist during procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgeon and team to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have certification, graduate from an accredited program, and at least two years of experience preferred. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential to handle equipment, supplies, and patient charts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology or have equivalent experience.
• Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Work as a cohesive member of the surgical team.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
• Must have knowledge of a vast number of surgical procedures and the steps the surgeon needs to take in order to complete the procedure, including the wide range of surgical instruments they may need.
• Utilize instruments, medications, and other supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Perform basic tasks such as transporting patients and checking patients' medical charts and consent forms.
• Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
