Job summary

The Physicians Centre in Bryan, TX is seeking a surgical technician to support the operating room team. Under supervision of the OR Manager and Registered Nurses, you will scrub, assist, and maintain the sterile field during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining instrument and equipment readiness, adhering to sterile technique and infection control, and participating in annual Healthstream education. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential in this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of surgical technician program with CST certification preferred.
• BLS certification required or prerequisite.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical scrubbing and assisting duties within the sterile field.
• Maintains sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Ensures proper care and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Works under supervision of the OR Manager/Administrator and Registered Nurses.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; completes Healthstream education annually.
