Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech OR to join our operating room team on a full-time day schedule. The role supports the surgeon and staff by preparing the sterile field, passing instruments, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

On-call requirements include one night per week and one weekend per month, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus based on eligibility. Applicants should have completed a Certified Surgical Technology Program, BLS-HCP, and ideally one year

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a Certified Surgical Technology Program.
• BLS-HCP certification required or expected.
• 1-year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Performs on call services as requested.
• Ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.
• Assists with orientation and training of personnel and students.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
