Job summary

Citizens Health in Colby, KS is seeking a full-time surgical scrub tech for the surgery department. You will prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile fields, scrub in, and pass instruments during procedures. Working hours are 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation.

Applicants should have certification from an accredited surgical technology program (preferred). A high school diploma is accepted with on-the-job training; strong sterile technique is required.

Qualifications

• Certified surgical technologist with accredited program preferred.
• High school diploma or GED accepted with on-the-job training.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies needed for day’s surgeries and prepare operating rooms as assigned.
• Create and maintain sterile fields; scrub and assist with surgical procedure by passing instruments and specific equipment; take counts according to standard policy.
• Take surgery call which is assigned on a rotating basis and is mandatory.
• Assist in cleaning instruments/equipment, checking and stocking supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
