Job summary

Citizens Health is seeking a surgical scrub tech to join the surgery department on a full-time basis. The role reports to the Surgery Manager and involves preparing ORs, maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and supporting the surgical team.

Responsibilities include on-call rotation, instrument cleaning, stocking supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires certification in surgical technology and orientation completion at Citizens Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology.
• High school diploma or GED accepted for on-the-job training.
• Successful completion of Citizens Medical Center’s nursing orientation program for that unit.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies for day’s surgeries and prepare operating rooms.
• Maintain sterile fields; scrub and pass instruments; take counts as policy.
• Take rotating on-call shifts when assigned.
• Assist in cleaning instruments/equipment and stocking supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
