Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a scrub tech in multiple surgical specialties.
• Able to resolve problems with a few concrete variables in standardized settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology used in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and sterile supplies during procedures.
• Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team to maintain a sterile environment.
• Assist in gathering surgical supplies and equipment.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre- and intra-operatively.
• Retain specimens for pathology with surgeon confirmation.
• Follow universal precautions and safety guidelines.
