Citrus Heights Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech on a full-time basis in Citrus Heights, CA. The role supports the surgical team by maintaining sterile fields, assisting the circulating nurse, and ensuring all supplies are readily available during procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or equivalent education/experience.
• Familiar with medical terminology related to anatomy and surgical procedures for ORs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain sterile conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist circulating nurse and surgical team to maintain sterile environment.
• Assist in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
• Perform pre-operative counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with circulating nurse.
• Retain specimens to be sent to pathology, confirming source with surgeon.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and PPE; ensure personal and patient safety.
• Use and care for equipment per guidelines.
