Under the direction of the RN, the scrub technician functions as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team in the scrub/assistant role. They prepare the operating room and provide surgeons with the necessary instrumentation and supplies for a variety of procedures, while anticipating needs and ensuring patient safety.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CST (NBSTSA) required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain sterile environment and prepare/hand instruments for procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Support surgeons and nursing staff with instrument availability and patient safety.
• Participate in staff education and act as a preceptor for new grads and hires.
• Engage in quality improvement and interdepartmental activities.
