Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Rep at Jersey City Medical Center to schedule patient appointments, verify information, and ensure timely, coordinated care. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred candidates have a High School diploma, healthcare clerical experience, and comfort with EPIC and Microsoft Office. Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, on-site at Jersey City Medical Center; benefits include PTO, medical/dental,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year clerical/receptionist experience in healthcare preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient appointments to support efficient operations and positive patient experience.
• Schedule appointments for consultations, procedures and visits with medical personnel.
• Verify patients’ full legal name and date of birth; input accurate information into registration system.
• Collect up-front payments (co-pays) at registration and complete clerical tasks per department rules.
