Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is hiring a day shift, full-time Surgery Scheduler to arrange surgical and non-surgical procedures and pre-surgical testing.

The role coordinates testing, ensures consents, and serves as a compassionate liaison among patients, referrals, and care teams. A high school diploma and EMR experience are required; preferred credentials include an Associate’s degree, CST, and hospital setting experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding and use of Electronic Health Record (EMR).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
• Preferred: CST certification.
• Preferred: 1+ years hospital or physician practice experience.

Responsibilities

• The Scheduler arranges appointments for surgical and non-surgical procedures and pre-surgical testing.
• Schedules surgeries and procedures for all specialties.
• Coordinates all required testing and procedures.
• Ensures all pre-testing, information and consents are on-site prior to admission.
• Acts as a liaison with patients, referrals and care teams with compassion.
