Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a full-time, patient‑oriented Scheduling Liaison to act as a bridge between physician offices and the surgery center. You will schedule procedures, verify privileges, and enter patient demographics and billing data into a computerized system.

You will coordinate case times, obtain necessary authorizations, and manage physician orders and logs, while supporting growth initiatives and delivering excellent service to physicians and patients alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Experience with computerized scheduling systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate statistics and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case times for elective procedures in a scheduling system.
• Verify physician privilege status prior to scheduling.
• Interface with medical staff to maintain privilege logs and confidentiality.
• Acquire authorizations and related medical records for procedures.
• Enter orders, demographics, and charges; print physician orders as needed.
• Schedule block times and support growth initiatives with leadership.
• Serve as patient liaison and assist with questions about policies.
• Document activities and participate in quarterly business development meetings.
