Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Scheduling Supervisor to manage all aspects of surgical scheduling and medical assisting. This role oversees the daily schedule, coordinates with physicians, patients, and outside offices, and ensures proper documentation and authorization for procedures.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of healthcare and supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of healthcare experience with surgical scheduling and supervisory duties
• High School diploma required; certification preferred
• EMR experience and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred
• POE or Medical Assistant Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain surgical schedule for physicians and coordinate updates.
• Coordinate surgical dates with patients and assist in scheduling by room/type.
• Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and ensure proper billing information.
• Assist with minor procedures and prepare exam rooms and supplies.
