Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH seeks an experienced surgical scheduling coordinator to manage scheduling of procedures, coordinate admissions, and communicate with patients, families, surgeons, and staff.

You will enter orders in Epic, arrange preop testing, coordinate preop classes, and ensure readiness across locations while maintaining CPT/ICD coding accuracy and scheduling across OR blocks.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Two years of medical setting experience preferred; prior surgical scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and authorizes surgical procedures in EOD and Main OR and coordinates block and out-of-block scheduling.
• Coordinates patient appointments, consents, and preop education with patients and families.
• Reviews charts for preop testing needs and location requirements.
• Enters surgical orders and preop data into Epic and liaises with providers for signature.
• Maintains CPT/ICD coding accuracy and communicates scheduling changes to all stakeholders.
