Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a PRN Scheduling Clerk to support OR, cardiovascular and obstetrical case scheduling in a computerized system. You’ll enter charges, orders, and patient data, and prepare reports for management.

You will interact with physicians, nurses and families, coordinate authorizations, and help maintain a smooth, confidential scheduling workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Understanding of payor contract terms and processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software; able to use scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures in a computerized system.
• Enter patient charges, orders and information; compile reports for management.
• Coordinate with staff, physicians and families; act as unit receptionist as needed.
• Enter orders for labs, imaging and related services; ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and support a smooth workflow with minimal supervision.
