Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join Ellis Fischel Patient Access at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia, MO. You will coordinate pre-op and follow-up appointments, interact with patients, providers and staff, and manage scheduling changes in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, at least three years of scheduling/clerical experience in healthcare, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of scheduling, clerical, office, or healthcare related work experience.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-op surgery and follow-up appointments with patients, providers and staff.
• Analyze schedule changes, manage emergencies, and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with related duties as assigned.
