Epiphany Dermatology, a rapidly expanding dermatology services company, is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to support surgical scheduling, verify insurance benefits, and maintain patient records with a patient-centered approach.

The role requires professional behavior, effective communication, and the ability to navigate insurance processes while collaborating with providers and the healthcare team to ensure timely care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and healthcare professionals in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Review insurance and prior authorization requirements; share medical information for reimbursement.
• Assist patients with health-care system obstacles (interpreters, transportation, prescriptions).
• Serve as a system navigator and point of contact for patients and families regarding approvals and questions.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and referrals; ensure timely resolutions.
• Maintain medical records with timely input of documents and test results.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and throughput; address backlogs.
• Support time-sensitive tasks such as prescription refills and EMR messages.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute improvement ideas.
