Role Description

The Surgical Coordinator is a part-time, on‑site role based in Troy, MI, responsible for supporting the smooth scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures. This role manages patient appointments, surgical calendars, and pre‑ and post‑operative consultation schedules, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with patients and clinical staff.   • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, surgeons, and staff in a professional, empathetic manner.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, scheduling software, and basic office tools such as email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols for pre‑operative and post‑operative instructions, documentation, and patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
  • Ability to work on‑site in Troy, MI, and collaborate within a clinical team environment while maintaining a calm, reliable presence.
  • Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a related specialty is beneficial; completion of a medical assisting or healthcare administration program is a plus.
