AHMC Healthcare Inc. in San Gabriel, CA is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate and schedule surgeries and procedures. You will verify patient information, secure authorizations, and communicate clearly with physicians’ offices and patients to ensure accurate timing and preparation.

You will enter data into the system, manage appointment times, and stay current with department changes while supporting the mission and core values of the hospital.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule surgeries/procedures requested by physician or other departments.
• Communicates effectively with physician, staff or other departments; follows procedure to secure date, day and time.
• Communicates availability and determines if time is suitable for physician and patient.
• Acquires all pertinent information to schedule surgery/procedure.
• Enters all information into computer.
• Ensures the appointment and arrival times are clear to the caller.
• Advises caller to relay arrival and preparation information to the patient.
• Requests authorization number.
• Obtains diagnosis information relating to specific surgery/procedure.
• Determines available time and prints scheduling form.
• Blocks a time slot once selected to avoid double bookings.
• Keeps current with department changes through direct communication.
