Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support ensuring high-quality, efficient patient care. You will work within a team focused on accurate coding, documentation, and coordination of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include obtaining CPT/ICD-10 codes, securing authorizations, scheduling operating room time, and maintaining complete scheduling packets in the practice management system. BLS may be required.

Qualifications

• Clerical tasks handled efficiently in a medical setting.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, or physician offices preferred.
• CPR/BLS may be required per practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and clinical information for treatment.
• Prepare documentation for Medicare/beneficiary notices per procedures.
• Determine OR time and coordinate with Facility for scheduling and anesthesia coverage.
• Ensure scheduling packets are complete and timely.
• Obtain authorizations from Insurance Verification and record in system.
• Capture authorization notes and scans into medical records.
