Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a dedicated administrative professional to collect patient data and verify payer information for homecare services. This full-time on-site role requires coordinating with physicians, ensuring orders are obtained, and guiding secretarial staff in maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has a High School Grad or Equiv and at least 1 year of experience, strong data-entry skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ year experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient clinical and demographic data and insurance or payer information, verifies payer coverage, and obtains physician orders.
• Arranges for support services and ensures written orders for homecare are obtained or requests an RN to take verbal orders when needed.
• Oversees secretarial staff to assure accurate data entry, appropriate phone answering, management of clinical records, and provision of clinical records when requested.
• Ensures appropriate staff coverage within the agency and coordinates referrals to maintain efficient operations.
• Enters referrals into the computer, verifies required information prior to admission, and maintains accurate reference files.
