Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group is seeking a Surgical Coordinator/Scheduler to manage pre- and post-operative scheduling across physicians. You will coordinate site appointments, obtain referrals, and ensure resources align with surgeon preferences.

The role requires 1–3 years in a medical setting, with 2 years in surgical scheduling, EMR/EHR familiarity (NextGen or Athena preferred), and strong Windows/Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years in a medical scheduling environment.
• Prior experience with surgical scheduling is a plus.
• EMR/EHR experience with NextGen or Athena preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows, Word, Outlook and Internet required.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete pre-operative and post-operative scheduling for the assigned physician.
• Coordinate scheduling of surgical sites and appointments across physicians.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals from physicians and insurance providers.
• Ensure surgeon preferences are met with available resources.
• Maintain friendly, courteous, and professional interactions with patients and staff.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1-3 years of experience in Medical Setting

2 years of surgical scheduling experience

Healthcare background desirable

EMR/EHR experience (NextGen or Athena)
