Job summary

Ascension is seeking an OR Scheduling Coordinator at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, TX. The role anchors the surgical schedule, synchronizing surgeons, staff, and anesthesia teams to maintain smooth operations in a high‑volume environment.

You will manage real-time case updates, communicate across departments, and quickly resolve conflicts to safeguard patient safety and minimize delays. A strong focus on coordination and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating OR schedules or similar operations.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year of related experience acceptable.

• Serve as the central operational hub connecting surgeons, clinic staff, OR leadership and patients to align all surgical workflows.
• Manage and update OR master schedules in real time as cases are added, canceled or modified to optimize room utilization.
• Coordinate proactive communications across pre-op, PACU, anesthesia and clinic teams to ensure total surgical team readiness.
• Resolve last-minute schedule conflicts and emergency case adjustments rapidly to protect patient safety and prevent delay.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
