Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced RN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit in Illinois. The unit cares for acute and chronic digestive surgical patients with bariatric certification and high-acuity care.

You will perform post-operative care, manage complex wounds, ostomies, and tracheostomies, and collaborate with surgical residents and OMFS teams. The role requires active RN license in Illinois or eligibility, BLS within 30 days, and a HS diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• RN license in Illinois or eligible to practice in Illinois.
• BLS within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• HS Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessment and develop care plan.
• Implement nursing interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Document care accurately for the healthcare team.
• Provide post-operative care for complex surgical patients.
• Collaborate with surgical residents and OMFS teams.
