Job summary

Carle Health's NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit seeks a Registered Nurse to provide post-operative care for complex digestive surgical patients. You will manage wound vacs, Ostomy care, and actively participate with surgical residents and OMFS teams to ensure safe transitions and optimal outcomes.

This role emphasizes high-acuity care, timely documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to support a Bariatric-certified unit and trauma-adjacent surgical patients in a respected Level I

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-operative care for complex surgical patients on NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit.
• Provide wound care including wound vac management and ostomy care.
• Collaborate with general surgery residency and OMFS teams to plan patient care.
