Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with IDFPR; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA; CNOR certification.
• College diploma in nursing and completion certificate for RNFA program.
• Perioperative nursing experience of 2+ years.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries, ensuring trays, instrumentation, and supplies are ready.
• Provide patient care and support; administer medications.
• Perform surgical tasks such as bleeding control, suturing, draping, exposure, and tissue handling.
• Position and prepare patient on the operating table; monitor vital signs.
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare; communicate patient health.
• Conduct post-operative assessments and monitor for pain or complications.
• Review patient history and health assessments; monitor surgical site healing.
• Participate in research and assist in room turnover and equipment coordination.
