Job summary

The RNFA will scrub and circulate as needed, prepare supplies, monitor vitals, administer medications, and educate patients and families about surgery and aftercare.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with relevant state board.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Completion of an accredited RNFA program.
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries, ensuring trays and instruments are ready.
• Provide patient care and support throughout procedures.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Scrub and circulate as needed; draping and exposure tasks.
• Monitor vital signs during surgery and educate patient and family pre- and post-operatively.
• Study patient history and coordinate with OR team for efficient turnover.
