Job summary

ProMedica's Wildwood Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant. You will be the primary clinician with the surgical/medical plan, beginning, implementing, and evaluating a nursing plan of care.

You assess a patient’s status and respond to changes, demonstrating nursing procedures and mentoring staff. The role requires Ohio RN licensure, CNOR certification, and RNFA coursework, with at least two years of intraoperative experience; a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the state of hire to practice professional nursing.
• CNOR certification required; RNFA education and credentialing per AORN core curriculum.
• Must have completed RNFA course preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery.
• Minimum of two (2) years of intraoperative clinical experience.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinician with the surgical/medical plan for designated patients.
• Assess patient status to anticipate and respond to clinical changes; act in critical situations.
• Demonstrate nursing procedures and maintain professional relationships; support staff development.
