ProMedica's Flower Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse, First Assistant, to support surgeons in both general and specialized procedures. You will prepare patients for surgery and monitor them after procedures for pain or complications, acting as a key resource to the specialty team to ensure safe, comprehensive patient care.

The role emphasizes collaboration within the Plastic Surgery department and adherence to hospital standards, with a 40-hour work week and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a course to prepare the RN as a first assistant in surgery.
• Must be able to differentiate colors.
• 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience.
• Current licensure in the State of Ohio to practice professional nursing.
• Current CNOR certification issued by CBPN.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in general and specialized surgeries as the RN First Assistant.
• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor patients postoperatively for pain and complications.
• Serve as a resource to the specialty team to ensure safe patient care.
