Job summary

ProMedica Flower Hospital in Ohio seeks an experienced Registered Nurse, First Assistant, to support surgeons in general and specialized procedures. You will prepare patients for surgery and monitor them afterward for pain and potential complications.

You will act as a resource to the surgical team to ensure safe, comprehensive patient care. The role requires completion of a course in RN first assistant, CNOR certification, Ohio licensure, and strong intraoperative experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a course in preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery.
• Must be able to differentiate colors.
• 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience.
• Requires current licensure in the State of Ohio to practice professional nursing.
• Current specialty certification required (CNOR) issued by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN)
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in general and specialized surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor patients post-operatively for pain and/or complications.
• Act as a resource to the specialty team to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care.
