Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is hiring a registered nurse for the Surgical/Operating Room at Medical City Dallas. The role involves preoperative assessment, patient education, and intraoperative support within a collaborative surgical team.

You will participate in readiness activities, ensure patient safety and evidence-based practice, and respond to emergencies. On-call duties apply during select hours.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• RN license (Registered Nurse) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in perioperative/surgical settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Assist in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies with high-quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve patient care and workflow.
