Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse to provide compassionate care in a clinical setting. The role includes pre-anesthesia assessments, medication administration, documentation, and developing patient care plans, with collaboration across disciplines to ensure quality outcomes.

The position requires an ADN with BSN preferred, state RN licensure, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. Shifts are days, 32 hours per week, with potential weekend/on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Calls.
• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and laws.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops patient plan of care per physician or policy.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to other units in longitudinal care.
• Escalates safety concerns through the chain of command.
• Participates in professional nursing continuum and peer review.
