Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida seeks a Physician Assistant to join the CARL - Extenders team. You will assist surgeons, conduct patient assessments, and help prepare for operations in a fast-paced OR.

The role requires Florida PA license, CPR, ACLS/BCLS, and prior PA experience. You will maintain sterile techniques, participate in teaching, and contribute to hospital performance and patient care.

Qualifications

• Florida License required; Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants desired; CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Preliminary assessment of patients; obtain history and perform physical assessment; review tests and status
• Assist surgeon as first or second assistant; facilitate preoperative procedures
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality; adapt to variable work schedule and patient volume
• Utilize instrumentation and maintain sterile field; ensure patient safety in the OR
• Attend department lectures; participate in CEU activities and hospital improvement initiatives

Education

Associate degree with PA license

Bachelor's degree in area of expertise preferred
