Job summary

Qualifications

• Florida license required or in process; Certified Physician Assistant preferred.
• Certification in CPR and ACLS/BCLS as applicable.
• Experience in perioperative care or surgical assisting is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and document patient history, vitals, and exams.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary assessment of patients; obtain complete history and perform physical exam for new patients.
• Review current status, complaints, and test results; note changes since last visit.
• Assist with placement of invasive lines; support surgeon as first or second assistant.
• Maintain sterile field, assist with suturing, knot tying, and tissue handling.
• Participate in teaching OR techniques and uphold patient confidentiality and safety.
