Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in South Florida seeks a Physician Assistant to join the OR team. The role includes preliminary patient assessments, history-taking, and assisting with invasive line placement as needed.

You will support the surgeon as first or second assistant, participate in teaching OR techniques, and help ensure patient safety and aseptic practice under supervision. The position requires active PA licensure in Florida and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification Florida License required; Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants desired; CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Preliminary Assessment of patients and history taking; Assist with placement of invasive lines and abdominal/cardiovascular procedures as needed; Serve as first or second assistant to the attending surgeon in the operating room and maintain sterile field
