Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PA program is required.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in a related role preferred.
• Current Texas PA license and NCCPA certification; BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical and mental status; performs comprehensive or problem-focused exams and history.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates labs and tests.
• Prescribes medications and treatments following policy and safety standards.
• Develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Counsels patients and families on care, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintains treatment records and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Provides consultation within scope of practice and participates in perioperative management.
• Performs operative-related duties as delegated by supervising physician.
