Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Physician Assistant (Non-Operative) to deliver direct patient care within a surgical specialty setting. You will diagnose, treat, and counsel patients across adult and pediatric populations in collaboration with supervising physicians.

Responsibilities include exams, orders and interpretations, treatment planning, and postoperative follow-up, with potential inpatient or ED involvement. Requires Texas PA license and NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Texas
• NCCPA certification
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire
• Graduated from an Accredited PA program
• Less than 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental condition; obtain histories and perform exams
• Order, collect, interpret labs and diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and treatments; manage interventions
• Formulate and implement patient treatment plans; collaborate with physicians
• Counsel patients and families about medications, risks, and health promotion
• Maintain medical records and coordinate referrals and consultations
• Provide specialty-level consultation and manage patients in inpatient/ED settings
• Perform procedures as delegated by supervising physician
• Follow-up pre- and post-operatively; participate in rounds
