Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Surgical Specialty team in a non-operative role. The PA provides direct patient care, functions with delegated prescriptive authority, and works as an independent provider credentialed and billed under the supervising physician.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing therapies, and formulating treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited PA program.
• Current Texas PA license.
• NCCPA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive physical exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and tests.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within supervised scope.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Counsel patients and families about care, medications, and lifestyle.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate referrals.
