Job summary

Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Surgical Unit. This full-time, day-shift role supports nursing teams in a 28-bed unit, with 6:00 AM–6:30 PM shifts and ADL assistance. BLS and CNA required; sign-on bonus of $5,000 with 12-month commitment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• CNA certification required for new hires and transfers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and input/output; document data.
• Report health status changes to licensed staff and communicate status to caregivers.
• Perform procedures under supervision (blood draws, foley removal, EKGs) and assist with unit procedures.
• Support receptionist/clerical tasks to maintain department efficiency.
• Maintain patient records and supplies, and assist in ordering specimens.
• Transport patients as needed and participate in OR room turnover.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with focus on customer service.
