Job summary

Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Unit. You will support nursing teams with ADLs, ambulation, and pre/post-operative care, helping patients recover from procedures in a high-volume setting.

The role is part-time, day shift (6:00 AM–6:30 PM), with responsibilities spanning data collection, patient comfort, and collaboration across care providers. BLS and CNA are required; experience and communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA in state of practice required for new hires.
• Prior medical clerical experience or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
• ECG interpretation training or course may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Support mobility and nutritional intake as needed.
• Collect specimens, vital signs, and input/output data.
• Report abnormalities to licensed staff and maintain continuity of care.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records and ensure charting is accurate and accessible.
• Manage supplies and assist with ordering and inventory.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient transport where applicable.
• Contribute to fast-paced patient care environment and teamwork.
