Job summary

St. George Surgery Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care. You will prepare patient bays, stock supplies, transport patients, and help with turnovers and daily surgery flow.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility to meet OR demands. A High School diploma is required, with 1 year of patient care experience preferred and current BCLS certification; CNA licensure is a plus with training

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year patient care experience preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• CNA license preferred and willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
• Prepare and clean patient bays, stock supplies, and assist with turnovers.
• Transport patients to discharge and help maintain surgical flow.
• Assist with daily surgical schedule and other duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health team members.
