OrthoIllinois, a Division of Orthomidwest, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing and surgical teams in Pre-Op, OR and Post-Op. You will assist with room setup, patient transport, sterile prepping, and monitoring equipment, ensuring a smooth patient flow throughout the surgical journey.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of patient care experience, CPR certification, and familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft/Google suites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years patient care experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous surgical setting experience preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites.
• Basic working knowledge of EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks in Pre-Op, OR and Post-Op.
• Rooms patients and reports issues to the RN.
• Assist in preparing operating rooms and stocking supplies.
• Transport patient and assist with positioning for surgery.
• Assist with monitors and equipment hookup.
• Assist with sterile prepping and room turnovers.
• Assist in PACU arrival and patient repositioning.
• Assist with ambulating patients and post-discharge transport.
• Inventory management and restocking supplies.
