Job summary

Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Provide leadership and coordination for the surgical pathology department. -Oversee the daily workflow of surgical pathology processes, including the accessioning, grossing, processing, and reporting of surgical specimens. -Implement and maintain quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards, such as CAP (College of American Pathologists) or CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments). -Manage the inventory of pathology supplies, reagents, and equipment. -Oversee the maintenance of pathology databases and electronic health records systems related to surgical specimens. -Provide supervision and guidance to pathology support staff, including histotechnologists, pathology assistants, and administrative personnel. -Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements governing surgical pathology services.**Qualifications**Education Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Management required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
