Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Pathology Laboratory Assistant I to receive, label, and distribute clinical specimens onsite at 75 Francis Street (Amory Lab).

Responsibilities include verifying patient information, accessioning into the LIS, preparing samples for testing, maintaining inventory and cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards. Aide collaboration with staff to ensure timely specimen processing; day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred or HS diploma required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and terminology.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Does this position require Patient Care?
