Job summary

Trinity Health in Maryland seeks a Physician Assistant to support surgical teams in the operating room and inpatient units. Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA certified PA program.
• Pass the PANCE examination.
• Maintain Maryland PA licensure.
• Prescriptive authority (CDS/DEA) eligibility.
• Ability to work in OR and inpatient units.
• Maintain BLS Certification.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Weekend and on-call availability on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical assistance in the OR upon request to surgeons.
• Develop laparoscopic and DaVinci robotic first assist skills.
• Perform daily post-operative rounds and coordinate patient care.
• Manage admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, orders, and discharges.
• Conduct ED and floor evaluations as requested by the attending surgeon.
• Assist with bedside procedures (central venous catheter, thoracostomy, arterial catheter, PICC).
• Support quality initiatives and accurate, compliant billing.
