Job summary

Trinity Health in Maryland seeks a part-time Physician Assistant II (PA-2) PRN to provide first assist in the OR across multiple service lines and manage post-operative care. The PA-2 PRN performs histories and physicals, orders tests, and coordinates treatment plans with supervising physicians for timely, quality outcomes.

Requirements include ARC-PA accredited PA program, PANCE/PANRE, Maryland PA license, prescriptive authority, and surgical experience along with BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA certified PA program.
• Pass PANCE and PANRE when applicable.
• Maintain current Maryland PA license.
• Qualify for prescriptive authority (DEA/CDS).
• Min 2 years surgical PA experience or 1 year surgical plus 2 years non-surgical.
• Able to work in OR and inpatient units.
• Proficient in bedside procedures with ultrasound guidance where needed.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Excellent communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• First assist in the operating room for multiple specialties and complex cases.
• Perform daily post-operative rounds and coordinate inpatient care.
• Conduct admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, discharges, and orders.
• Perform bedside procedures (vascular access, chest/abdominal procedures) as credentialed.
• Precept PA students and new graduates.
• Support quality initiatives and compliant billing.
• Collaborate with hospital departments for coordinated patient care.
