Job summary

Penn State Health Surgical Services is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join a fast-paced surgical team in Reading, PA. The APP will perform in the perioperative and inpatient continuum, exercising advanced clinical judgment within a collaborative team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an AMA approved PA program with national certification and BLS, prepared to thrive in a dynamic environment and participate in ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment.
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide care for complex patients across the perioperative and inpatient continuum.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and independent decision-making within a surgical team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adapt to varied shifts and dynamic clinical environments while maintaining patient-centered care.
